“Perfection is not attainable but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence”

 – AND AGAIN –

“Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failures, loyalty and persistence.”

PERFECTION is the bench mark, a target to achieve and is of paramount importance in all activities, be they social, political, industrial or educational. So as educators, it is all the more important to strive for perfection and instill the same in the minds of the immature toddlers and teenagers entrusted to our care.

It is neither illegal nor brutal to demand perfection in our work. Work done haphazardly and listlessly are treated contemptuously and even penalized. The survival and the very existence of any institution rest on the strong pillars of discipline and perfection. If we take a look at nature around us we will notice the perfection at work. The sun, moon, stars, birds, flowers and every living being gives us a lesson on perfect synchronization and any imperfection or disarray can cause an upheaval and catastrophe.

Grant the fact that human beings are frail in nature so perfection is an unattainable dream for most but even impossibility can be transformed into possibility with a little more concentration, courage, determination, patience and persistence. A seed can’t bloom overnight. It requires slow tending since perfection is nothing but a constant transformation. If we fix our eyes on perfection, we will make almost everything speed towards it.

This struggle for perfection has taken the students of St. Paul’s to great heights of pride and glory, so it is my ardent appeal to the teachers and students of SPA to strive for perfection in whatever we do because small beginnings make great endings.

Wishes and greeting to one and all for a happy and successful year with the blessings of God and our elders, and let our dreams come true &the SPA banner fly high to reach the sky.
